Lost in the hoopla of the Chris Paul trade last off season, and the future stars of the rebuilding Hornets, Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers, is the athletic swing man Al-Farouq Aminu. He left Wake Forest a couple of years earlier and has only shown flashes of his potential. One thing that has never been in doubt with him is his athletic ability. Think Hakim Warrick with a handle and you have Al-Farouq Aminu.

Here his versatility is on full display as he makes a great defensive play on one end, then runs the floor like a deer and is rewarded for his hard work from point guard Greivis Vasquez. If and when Eric Gordon does ever return to the line up for good, with Brook Lopez at the five, Davis at the four, Al-Farouq Aminu can be the athletic slasher/garbage man that fits perfectly with the Hornets squad. It is up to him to round out his game and continue to work on his face up game, but the sky truly is the limit for him.
