There are so many trade deals and trade rumors going around it almost blocks out the Kardashain-esque drama that keeps coming from Dwight Howard. I know players in the MLB get traded fairly often (if you need an example look up, from 1999 to 2012 he has been on 13 different teams). Who would think that Cliff Lee, the other left hand of god behind Sandy Koufax, would be on the trading block after just little over half a season with and ERA almsot 4 and only 1 win this year while getting payed $21 mill this year alone?
They have solid enough pitching with Halladay, Hamels, and Paplebon in the pen that maybe they should think of trading the overpayed Lee for either some offense or some prospect because the Phillies are aging they only have 2 everyday position players that are younger than 30 years old (Hunter Pence 29 and Freddy Galvis 22). Maybe if they can afford it, why not ship Cliff Lee to the Kansas City Royals for some of those young prospects that other organizations are drooling over?
What if Kansas City traded for Lee giving Philly 2 of the highest touted prospects in the MLB right now in LHP Mike Montgomery and OF Wil Myers? This would be beneficial for both sides of the trade. The Phillies would be getting good young players that could be the stars of the future in a position player in Wil Myers the best hitting prospect right now and LHP Montgomery who is supposed to be pretty good. The Royals would be getting a Cy Young caliber player that could give the Royals atleast one day out of five of solid pitching something they haven’t had since Zack Greinke pitched there while the other pitching prospects in the organization like Danny Duffy, Jake Odorizzi, Will Smith, and Ryan Verdugo develop and he could also help them out and teach them things too. This is a trade that would be a win win situation for both teams
In honor of the trade deadline here is some memorable odd ball trades:

The Montreal Expos traded away OF Grady Sizemore, 2B Brandon Phillips, and SP Cliff Lee to the Indians for SP Bartolon Colon… with those 3 players the Expos would have stayed in Montreal not moved to the city with the largest B.S in the world.. Washington D.C.
